This Privacy Policy describes how Scamify ("Scamify", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects information when you use the Scamify website at scamify.app and our related products and services (collectively, the "Services").
By using the Services you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Information we collect
- Information you provide. Name, email address, subject and message content when you submit our contact form, report a scam, or correspond with support.
- Content you scan. Messages, URLs, phone numbers or files you voluntarily submit for analysis. We do not knowingly collect content from third parties without your consent.
- Usage data. Device type, approximate location (derived from IP), browser, pages visited, and referring URLs.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Used for essential site functionality and aggregated analytics.
3. How we use information
- Detect, classify and block scams using on-device and server-side models.
- Operate, secure and improve the Services.
- Respond to support requests and notifications.
- Comply with applicable laws and lawful requests.
4. Community scam database
Reports you submit may be anonymized, aggregated and added to a community database used to protect other users. We strip identifiers (such as your name, email and device IDs) before any community use. We never sell your personal data.
5. Sharing
We share information only:
- With service providers who process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards (hosting, email delivery via Resend, database providers).
- To comply with law, valid legal process, or to protect rights, property and safety.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy or required by law. Aggregated, de-identified data may be retained indefinitely.
